Greetings from Our PTA President
Welcome to the Lockhart school family! We look forward to your involvement and support during the 2006-2007 school year. We are so proud of Lockhart and its accomplishments. Our staff, students, and parents have worked very hard to create a tradition of success that we know will continue this year.
As the new officers prepare for our responsibilities and begin developing the PTA calendar, we would like to remind all of our parents that we cannot be a success without your support. I encourage each of you to get involved as much as you can in your child’s education and in our PTA. For the PTA and school year to be successful, we need parental participation and volunteerism throughout the year. We welcome and encourage our parents to become active members of our PTA. There are lots of ways for all parents to get involved. We have committees that need you and your support. We need your involvement and encourage active parent participation.
We would like to promote a positive and successful educational environment for our children, and to do this we need your support. I look forward to representing you and Lockhart Elementary School. Most of all, I look forward to working with you!

At Lockhart Elementary, we take great pride in our PTA. The PTA is one way in which parents and school staff can work together to accomplish common goals and make our school a better place. We are very proud of our active PTA and the support it provides our school. Please become actively involved. We will find a way to put your special interests or talents to work. We have a variety of committees and activities that need your help. Each classroom is also asked to have a PTA Room Representative. If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact your child’s teacher or call the office (266-8525). PTA Membership dues for the 2007-2008 school year will be $5.00 for individual dues or $8.00 for family dues. Dues can be turned in to any PTA officer, your child’s teacher, or directly to the school office.
